Aponte 2026 - Colombia

“This coffee is becoming a regular for us and this year’s crop is multi-dimensional and complex, easily one of the best yet.”

Where to start? There’s a lot going on here. In the cup you’ll notice a buttery smooth sweetness. Sometimes like butterscotch, sometimes richer, like sticky toffee pudding. There are subtle floral notes and just a hint of clove which gives the coffee a warming, autumnal feel. There’s gentle acidity and fruit here too, I’m reminded of black grapes and toffee apples. 

Moving onto espresso, and we get a lovely crisp red apple acidity, a really well balanced shot. Add milk for a more mellow, buttery, all-day easy drinker with just the subtlest hint of spice in the finish. So good.
