About this Product
The Burundi no one expects: anaerobic, fruit-forward, nothing like the usual washed.
Grown in the Mumirwa hills above Bujumbura and fermented for two full days with the oxygen shut out, this single origin lands a long way from the country's usual clean, washed cup.
What to expect: Juicy passion fruit up top, soft caramel and cream through the middle, and a long, gently sweet finish with a faint spiced edge.
Why we love it: "Makes a really Juicy espresso, pairs wonderfully with milk for a flat white" - Sam
It's a fruit-forward anaerobic from a country famous for the opposite, and every bag backs Migoti, the producer-owned company, and the 173 named farmers behind the lot.

The Dame is a beautiful coffee
The Dame is a beautiful coffee, very refreshing with fruity notes that are not overpowering, for me a nice cup first thing in the morning hits the right spot.

Really great gift idea
I was happy to be able to send an e-gift card so that the recipient could select something from York Emporium. In the past, I have chosen the coffee to send, but I was always relying on my own preferences. I’ll definitely purchase another gift card in the future!

York Emporium
I’ve been a customer of York Emporium for years now. It’s the only place I go to buy coffee beans. Their ranges have changed over time especially since they rebranded the company, and dropped a couple of my favourites, but the quality is still excellent. You can tell the beans…
