Deep Winter

Deep Winter is a comforting, sweet and beautifully balanced cup, with notes of milk chocolate, caramel and brown sugar. Grown in the mountains of Nayarit, Mexico and carefully processed to bring out its natural sweetness, this coffee is all about the kind of familiar, warming flavours we come back to time and time again. Smooth, indulgent and easy drinking, it’s a coffee made for slow mornings, cold days and plenty of refills.

This coffee comes from Grupo Terruño Nayarita, a group of producers working across the mountainous coffee-growing region of Nayarit, close to the San Juan Volcano. The coffee is carefully harvested and processed at local wet mills before making its way to the El Duende dry mill in Compostela. Here, the coffee is dried on patios and rested for 13 weeks, giving it time to settle and develop its sweetness and depth. The result is a beautifully rounded coffee that showcases the quality and character of coffee from this lesser-known Mexican growing region.
