Variety: Caturra, Colombia and Typica
Processing method: Fully Washed
Flavour notes: Chocolate, Blackberry, Redcurrant and Grape
Hailing from Cauca, Colombia, this Fairtrade-certified espresso blend comprises three varieties: Caturra, Colombia, and Typica.
Federación Campesina del Cauca sources coffee from more than 2,000 rural families in the region, many of whom also produce coffee alongside sugarcane, cocoa, avocado, cassava, and fruit. Here, producers avoid using toxic agrochemicals and work to conserve native seeds, soil, and water – ensuring the longevity of Cauca’s rich coffee heritage.
The coffee is grown at 1,700 MASL before undergoing full washed processing, which creates a sensory profile defined by good balance and lively acidity.
When brewed as espresso, this coffee has notes of chocolate, blackberry, redcurrant, and grape. It’s a full-on berry bouquet with a lasting, elegant, and exceptionally smooth aftertaste.
