About this Product
Roaster’s tasting notes: toffee apple | malt | chocolate
This washed lot is sourced from Magdelena Camaja as part of Covoya’s Cafe Delas programme. Café Delas was created to help women farmers access the resources, knowledge and voice they need to grow their operations to the fullest potential. Every Café Delas coffee is sourced 100% from women farmers and for every sale, a portion of the profit is reinvested in programs that promote gender equality and empower women in the field.
The first coffee trees were planted by Magellan as a leap of faith. What followed was a journey shaped by training, hands-on learning, and steady progress. With support from institutions and the strength of family, Magdalena built knowledge year by year; improving crop health, refining practices, and raising quality.
Every purchase of this coffee, supports the ‘Kinder Coffee’ projects in Guatemala, which Linda visited in 2025. These education and child care programmes run for children of coffee growers. In Guatemala, the coffee harvest season coincides with School holidays, meaning the risk of young child labour, mostly for practical child care reasons The Kinder Coffee project provides education, nutrition, fun and care for these children while their families are able to farm.
