Founded in 2009 by a pioneering group of 35 local coffee producers, CAFICO has grown into a beacon of sustainable agriculture in the Corquín region of Honduras. Driven by a mission to improve the quality of life for farming families, the cooperative has achieved international acclaim for its ingenious closed-loop agronomy.

Rather than relying on chemical inputs, CAFICO produces its own nutrient-rich organic compost using discarded coffee pulp. Furthermore, they recycle agua miel (the sticky wastewater from the washing process) to create an innovative, bio-organic leaf spray that naturally shields the trees from devastating fungi like coffee leaf rust. This lot represents a meticulous devotion to eco-friendly practices that yield an exceptionally clean, high-quality specialty coffee.
