About this Product
King Street was the first African coffee to join the Baytown line-up, and it's never really been forgotten.
Grown in Kenya's renowned Nyeri region, this AA grade single origin coffee comes from near the foot of Mount Kenya, an area famous for producing some of the country's finest coffees. Lightly roasted to showcase the character of the origin, it delivers everything we love about Kenyan coffee.
In the cup, expect notes of red berries and pineapple, balanced by a smooth strawberries and cream sweetness. Bright, lively and packed with flavour, it's a coffee that tends to stand out from the crowd.
The coffee cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness before being delivered to the wet mill the very same day. After sorting and pulping, the coffee undergoes the traditional Kenyan washed process, including an extended soak in clean water. It's a method that takes time, but the result is worth it, helping to create the clarity, brightness and vibrant acidity that Kenyan coffees are known for.
When we asked Ted, our Head of Coffee, how he'd brew King Street, the answer came quickly. Filter. Every time. According to Ted, that's where those juicy fruit notes really come into their own.
A bright and distinctive Kenyan single origin coffee that's back for a limited time and every bit as memorable as we remembered.
