About this Product
Kiyoni Coffee
This very special coffee is from our good friend René and his family’s farm in the Kivu region of Rwanda. We managed to secure the only bag of this anaerobic natural coffee.
Rwabisindu Kivu Coffee Farm was born from loss and resilience. After returning from exile following the Rwandan genocide, Jean and his wife, Emerthe, found his family home in ruins and his siblings gone. They chose to rebuild—transforming the land into a coffee farm that restored life to what had been lost.
Today, Emerthe leads the farm, cultivating Red Bourbon Arabica on high-altitude plantations nestled in the tall hills of the Kivu region, between 1,500 and 1,900 metres. All coffee cherries are carefully processed on-site, ensuring quality and traceability. Through dedication, the farm has become a source of stability and opportunity for the thriving community around it.
