Ombligón–A Unique Variety

Ombligón is a little-known Arabica variety native to Colombia, named from the

Spanish“ombligo”(belly-button) due to the bean’s characteristic small dimple.

It thrives at high altitude and is treated as a flagship varietal at El Diviso. With

slow maturation at elevation, it develops concentrated sugars and nuanced

flavour. At El Diviso, Ombligón is handled with the utmost care: rigorous

harvesting, selective sorting and a premium processing protocol to reveal its

full potential.
