Rwanda grows some of the cleanest, most articulate coffee in East Africa, and Mbilima makes the case. Red Bourbon at 2,020 metres in the Coko Sector, washed, picked and sorted with the kind of care that shows up in the cup.
Blackcurrant first, bright and definite. Nectarine behind it. Vanilla underneath, rounding the whole thing off. Clean, sweet and precise, and a proper change of pace from the naturals.
