About this Product
Country of Origin: Colombia
Species: Eugenioides
Process: Anaerobic Natural
Altitude: 1900-2000masl
This rare coffee shot to fame at the 2021 World Barista and Brewers Cup Championships, and it has been hugely popular with the wider coffee community ever since. Eugenioides is one of the two "parents" of Arabica, alongside Coffea canephora, and was largely considered abandoned until Inmaculada and the Holguin family decided to grow it commercially.
The flavour profile is interesting and often thought-provoking. Eugenioides is naturally low in caffeine and incredibly sweet, almost stevia-like. Many Brewers Cup competitors blend it with Arabica to add sweetness to their brews, which is definitely worth trying. Yields are low, so each buyer receives only a small allocation per year, and we're very glad to have secured some of Inmaculada's 2026 harvest.
In the cup, we found flavour notes of sage, stevia and papaya.
