About this Product
It’s no secret we love carefully blending coffees. Our name gives that away fairly quickly. But every now and then, a coffee comes along that feels far too special to blend. When a lot has this much character, clarity and charm, the best thing we can do is let it shine all on its own.
We’re excited to introduce our new Single Origin: Tomizawa Geisha, a beautiful light roast from Cerrado Mineiro, Brazil, sourced through our friends at Langdon Coffee Merchants.
This lot is produced by Márcia Mayumi Tomizawa at Fazenda São Bento. Born into a farming family and the granddaughter of Japanese immigrants who settled in the region in 1979, Márcia’s story is deeply rooted in coffee, heritage and hard work. Raised among the coffee fields of Carmo do Paranaíba in Minas Gerais, she has built on her family’s legacy with a forward-thinking approach focused on quality, precision and innovation.
With a background in Agronomy and a Master’s in Agricultural Microbiology, Márcia brings both scientific knowledge and instinctive skill to her work. In recent years, she has dedicated herself to refining post-harvest practices, with particular attention to controlled fermentation, careful handling and techniques that bring out the full sensory potential of each lot.
That dedication has not gone unnoticed. Over the past two years, Márcia has been recognised in prestigious quality competitions, including 1st place in the Cerrado Mineiro category at the 2024 Minas Gerais Coffee Quality Competition, and runner-up in the same category in 2025. Her coffees are increasingly celebrated for their quality, distinctiveness and sense of place.
Márcia is also part of Women Who Inspire, a project by the CARPEC co-operative that champions and empowers women in coffee production. It is a fitting reflection of her work: thoughtful, skilled and full of purpose.
In the cup, this Geisha is elegant and expressive while still offering the comforting sweetness Brazil does so well. Expect notes of red berries, pistachio and honey, with a silky body and a gentle, rounded sweetness that lingers beautifully. It is delicately roasted to highlight its complexity, making it a brilliant choice for filter brewing.
A vibrant and beautifully crafted coffee that feels both refined and approachable. One for curious coffee drinkers, special brewing moments and anyone who loves discovering something a little bit different.
