The Armada blend is not as dark as the Captain's blend - it doesn't need to be. For your filter coffee you want brightness, and a little acidity and a flavour that stands out without being diluted with non-specific dairy products. This is the one we recommend for those days when you're faced with a tonne of stuff to do and you need to get it done. The pot is on the warming plate and full of great tasting coffee - you have to get your head into something for a few hours and the only respite you'll get in that time is a top up every 30 minutes or so. This coffee almost makes it enjoyable!
The Armada blend is clean and bright. Its a blend of Columbian, Uganda and Brazil - in a 30/30/40 ratio. A medium roast which allows for the chocolate, dried fruits and sweet acidity to come forward.
