The Italian Stallion Blend
Roast Level: Dark/ Medium
Flavour notes: Velvety smooth dark chocolate, roasted hazelnut with waves of caramel.
Brew method: 18g used for a 1:2 ratio in a double shot. Grind size 11 was used to yield an espresso in 25-30 seconds.
Overall opinion:
I’ve been really impressed with this roast. True to its name this blend is powerful but opens with a velvety smooth dark chocolate richness followed by roasted hazelnut notes that bring a warm, nutty character without being overpowering. As it develops, gentle waves of caramel come through, adding balance rather than sweetness. This blend delivers a familiar, authentic coffee flavour. A single shot offers a balanced and easy-drinking experience ideal for newcomers, while a double shot creates a more intense brew for those who enjoy stronger coffee.
I usually have my coffee with oat milk and, paired with this blend, the flavours become really comforting, creamy and warming, while still staying grounded and earthy.
As an espresso, it’s equally impressive as there’s a richness to the blend that feels refined rather than heavy. The shot pours with a beautifully defined crema and delivers a smooth, silky texture.
This blend would work really well in iced coffees paired with flavoured syrups. The chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel notes feel like the perfect base for vanilla, brown sugar, or even a subtle maple syrup without losing the character of the coffee itself.

️ Overall, I’d rate this blend an 9/10
A slight improvement would be to enhance the nutty and caramel flavours as the dark chocolate really stands out however, I’ve been really enjoying the taste notes in this roast overall and have been looking forward to my morning brews!’
