A Brazil Santos Yellow Bourbon matured in rare European oak casks that once held Oloroso sherry and the legendary Laphroaig 25 Year (2008 vintage). Nothing artificial is added. The cask does the work; lending the signature character of Islay peat smoke and seasoned oak.
In the cup, rich smoke and deep peat arrive first, followed by layers of vanilla, dried fruit, and sherry sweetness. Beneath it all, the natural Brazil base provides structure with notes of toasted hazelnut, cocoa, and dark chocolate. Lighter extractions bring more nut sweetness. Taken darker into City+ reveals a fuller, richer intensity. Bold throughout. Full-bodied.
Best brewed as filter or in a cafetière, where the body has room to open up. Oat milk takes it somewhere else; the sweetness of the oat carries the vanilla and rounds the smoke into something closer to caramel and warm spice. Worth trying both ways.
This is coffee treated as a finished product, not simply a roasted bean. Every small batch is rested in the roastery until smoke, sweetness, and body come perfectly into balance.
No alcohol content. Made for gifting, for after-dinner moments, or for those afternoons when ordinary coffee won't do.
