Brazilian MC Decaf Natural

Brazil MC Decaf Natural delivers exceptional decaffeinated coffee from Brazil’s renowned growing regions, utilising the methylene chloride decaffeination process to preserve the bean’s distinctive flavour profile. Given that Brazil produces nearly 40% of the world’s coffee, this natural processed coffee represents the finest tradition of Brazilian coffee craftsmanship.

This strictly soft fine cup coffee develops rich chocolate and vanilla notes owing to its natural processing method and optimal growing conditions. Since the beans mature at lower altitudes between 500-1,200 metres above sea level, they produce consistently sweet characteristics that make them ideal for both espresso and drip brewing applications.

The methylene chloride decaffeination process carefully removes caffeine whilst maintaining the coffee’s inherent flavour compounds. Consequently, you can enjoy the full-bodied taste of Brazilian coffee without the stimulating effects of caffeine, making it perfect for evening consumption or those seeking to reduce their caffeine intake.

Key features of this exceptional decaffeinated coffee include:

• Origin: Multiple Brazilian farms across Sul de Minas, Cerrado Mineiro, and Mogiana regions
• Varietals: Premium Bourbon, Catimor, Catuai, Catucai, Caturra, and Mundo Novo cultivars
• Processing: Traditional natural method enhancing sweetness and body
• Decaffeination: Methylene chloride process ensuring minimal residue (under 1 PPM)
• Flavour Profile: Nutty base with vanilla undertones and chocolate finish
• Harvest Period: April through September across different regions

Tank Coffee sources this premium decaffeinated coffee from established Brazilian farms that employ modern mechanical harvesting techniques. As mechanical harvesters have become increasingly selective, farmers can now harvest only fully ripe cherries, thereby improving cup quality significantly compared to traditional strip-picking methods.

The natural processing involves carefully drying the coffee cherries on patios under direct sunlight, with frequent turning to ensure even drying. This method allows the fruit’s natural sugars to penetrate the bean, creating the distinctive sweet and chocolatey characteristics that Brazilian naturals are celebrated for.

Roasting Recommendations

Whether you’re developing an espresso blend or seeking a standalone filter coffee, this decaffeinated option provides excellent versatility. The beans respond well to medium roast profiles, allowing the vanilla notes to flourish whilst maintaining the chocolate undertones that make Brazilian coffee so distinctive.
