About this Product
This is Espresso Mesa. We've only changed the name.
Same beans. Same roast. Same cup. 90% Pau Brasil from the Cerrado region, blended with 10% Ethiopian Guji Megadu naturally processed with anaerobic fermentation. The same molasses, sugar cane, and caramel. If you've been buying Espresso Mesa for years, this is the coffee you've been buying for years. Nothing has changed except the name on the bag.
This coffee is rooted in the memory of Davide, our founder. The aroma he grew up with: coffee brewing early in the morning, the smell drifting through the house, the start of another day. Italian Espresso Blend is the version of that memory in a cup.
A medium-dark roast that pulls a rich, full-bodied shot with a clean finish. Particularly suited to milk-based drinks, where it enhances the body and rounds the cup. Flat whites and lattes come out deeper and more confident. Pulled straight, it holds its weight without going bitter.
The label is a Pompeii fresco from 79AD. Not a rendering or a reproduction. A direct scan of the original artwork preserved from the eruption that buried the city, used here at proper resolution. Espresso was created in Naples. Pompeii is Naples. The connection is geographical and historical, not decorative. A fresco from the city where espresso was invented, on a label that names what it is.
If you loved Espresso Mesa, you'll love Italian Espresso Blend. It's the same coffee.
