Our 11th coffee. Our first birthday. Our most special release yet.
A year ago, we marked our first day in business with a fruity Colombian that turned heads. Today, we're marking our first birthday the only way that felt right — with another Colombian, another fruit-forward stunner, and a producer whose story deserves to be told.
The Jack of Clubs is our birthday coffee, released in celebration of Hastings' Jack in the Green festival and it is, without question, the finest coffee we have ever put our name to.
This is not an everyday release, but one fitting of my favourite weekend of the year.
When we cupped this, we were tasting notes of papaya, honeydew melon, brown sugar and camomile.
Bright, floral and seriously complex. A light roasted Pink Bourbon from the famous Quebraditas Coffee Farm in Huila, Colombia. Pink Bourbonis a highly rare varietal - due to its tricky cultivation. Grown at 1,850 metres and produced by one of the most exciting young farmers in the speciality coffee world, Edinson Argote.
