In the cup we find flavours of cherry liquoir, black grapes and nougat.
This coffee comes from one of the oldest producers in Panama, where Ricardo Koyner and his daughter Victoria Koyner produce some of the best coffees.
This varietal from their Duncan farm is low yielding and has distinctively large seeds, often also called 'elephant coffee beans'. The varietal is a natural mutation of Typica, discovered near the Brazilian city Maragogipe in 1870. When grown in fertile land with plenty of nutrients, it can showcase amazing flavour complexity, which is the case of this Maragogipe from Kotowa farms. The natural processing also helps to showcase the complex notes of this varietal even further and adding more sweetness, body and fruity flavours.
