Kenya Oreti Estate 🇰🇪
Blackcurrant • Blackberry • Black Tea
From the historic Oreti Estate in Kenya comes a beautifully expressive coffee with all the character we love from a great Kenyan cup.
Oreti Estate sits on the Thika Plateau in central Kenya, where high elevation, rich volcanic soils and cool growing conditions create an ideal environment for growing exceptional coffee. The Harries family has been farming in Kenya since 1904, with Oreti Estate itself established in 1946. Today, fifth-generation farmer Boyce Harries continues that family tradition.
The estate is one of Kenya's relatively rare privately owned coffee farms and has a reputation for producing distinctive, high-quality coffees. Traditional Kenyan varieties including SL28 and SL34 thrive here, with the estate's coffees carefully hand-picked, fully washed and dried on raised African drying beds.
In the cup, this coffee is wonderfully vibrant and juicy. Rich blackcurrant and ripe blackberry bring a deep berry sweetness, balanced by a delicate black tea character that keeps the finish clean and elegant.
It's a classic Kenyan combination - bright, fruity and complex, with plenty of sweetness and a refreshing finish.
