About this Product
Sourced from the Songwe region of southern Tanzania and Uganda’s Rwenzori Mountains, this coffee brings together two origins committed to quality, innovation and supporting smallholder farmers.
In Tanzania, the coffee comes from the Isaiso Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Society (AMCOS), established in 2008 and now home to 421 members. The cherries are selectively handpicked at peak ripeness, pulped and fermented for up to 72 hours before being sun-dried on raised beds for 9-10 days. This lot combines Kent, Bourbon and Compact varietals, with coffee from the cooperative taking first place at the Tanzania Fine Coffees Competition in 2023.
In Uganda, the Rwenzori Smallholder Project was established to explore the region’s potential for producing exceptional coffee while supporting local farmers through innovative growing and processing techniques. Since expanding operations in 2023, the project has worked with hundreds of smallholder farmers, building local expertise and developing a supply chain focused on quality and sustainability.
